The court ordered that if arrested, Omar Lulu should be released on a bond of Rs 50,000 with two sureties. The petition has been postponed for a detailed hearing on June 6.

The complaint against Omar Lulu was filed by the young actress with the Nedumbassery police. The actress alleged that she was raped multiple times under the pretense of being offered roles in films. The young actress, who resides in Kochi, approached the police with her complaint against the director.

Initially, the complaint was lodged with the Kochi city police, but it was later transferred to the Nedumbassery police. According to the complaint, Omar Lulu allegedly raped the actress at various locations from January to April, promising her film opportunities and pretending to be her friend.

The actress had previously acted in one of Omar Lulu’s films. Meanwhile, Omar Lulu claimed that he had a close friendship with the actress and had traveled with her to various places. He suggested that the complaint was driven by personal vendetta after their friendship ended. Omar Lulu also expressed suspicion that the actress might be backed by a blackmailing gang.
