Delhi Lok Sabha Elections: 34.37% Voter Turnout by 1 PM


As of 1 p.m. on May 25, Delhi recorded a voter turnout of 34.37% in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. Among the seven constituencies, Northeast Delhi saw the highest participation at 37.31%, while New Delhi had the lowest at 31.66%.


Prominent figures such as President Droupadi Murmu, Union ministers S. Jaishankar and Hardeep Singh Puri, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi minister Atishi, and Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were among the voters. Outgoing East Delhi MP Gautam Gambhir also cast his vote.


The day saw temperatures in the capital rise to 30.6 degrees Celsius, four degrees above the normal for this time of year, with a 'yellow' alert issued by the Met department.
